Numbered Car Seals

This brass baggage tag is 2.5" x 1.5" and dates between the late 1890's to no later than 1928, when MILW added the "and Pacific. I believe that these were used when a box car was loaded, allowing the shipper to know that the product got there without being tampered with.  I've also included pictures of the brass baggage tag.  Note, I did put a nickel next to these items so as to allow one to have a reference point.  ~ Matt Wade (owner).
