circa 1910: Milwaukee yards at that time. The Milwaukee purchased the "Montana Railroad" property about 1908 and utilized it in their expansion to the west coast.


1979 just before the Milwaukee's bankruptcy.

Milwaukee Ski Bowl

The Milwaukee Road opened a ski hill at Hyak on Snoqualmie Pass and called it  "The Milwaukee Ski Bowl", it was the site of Olympic ski jump trials. The resort opened in 1937, the lodge burned down in 1949, and the operation was closed in 1951. It is featured in a website devoted to "lost" ski hills in Washington.

Othello:
 

Othello was famous as a Milwaukee Road division point where steam (and later diesel) locomotives were replaced by electric motors on their way to Puget Sound. Othello remained a roundhouse and a crew change point to the very end in 1980.
